Milestones

Pasteurization Technology Group started as an idea by founder, Gregory Ryan, Sr. back in 2000. A lifetime entrepreneur, with roots in agriculture and energy, Mr. Ryan Sr. thought there ought to be a way to get more water to the vibrant farmland of his native California.

Combining “wasted’ exhaust heat from a turbine, the idea behind PTG was born.

A small pilot (5gpm) was built in 2005. It was sent to the Carson Plant of Los Angeles County Sanitation and the first testing began.

In 2007, the pilot plant was moved to Santa Rosa, CA where it was tested to accumulate enough data to have the technology certified by the California Department of Health Services under Title 22, the strictest classification standard in existence.

In 2008, the pilot plant was moved to Florida where it successfully disinfected canal water, proving how robust the technology is.

In 2010, PTG partnered with Ventura, CA to create a 500,000 gallon per day pilot plant to show how the process works at scale.

2011 – First system sold.
